The New Venture 4500, NV4500, 5 speed manual transmission was one of the most popular manual transmissions offered for light duty trucks. The NV4500 is light weight, has short case length, and relatively high strength. 1994 and earlier model year GMs had a 6.34 first gear ratio. 1995+ GM and Dodge variants feature a 5.61 first gear ratio.
