TJ Parts
The Jeep Wrangler TJ was produced from 1997 to 2006, it is the second generation of the Wrangler line, following the YJ. Wrangler TJ models reintroduced the round headlights, a hallmark of earlier Jeep models, after square headlights were used on YJ models from 1987-1995.
Jeep Wrangler TJs featured a coil-spring suspension for improved ride quality and off-road performance. Engine options included a 2.5L or 4.0L with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Rubicon model was introduced in 2003. The upgraded Rubicon model features marketed towards serious off-roaders, featuring enhanced capabilities like locking differentials and improved tires. Common tire size upgrades are 31”, 33”, or 35” depending on the lift. Re-gearing the differentials after installing larger tires help maintain or improve drivetrain performance.
The TJ was followed by the JK in 2007, which brought more modern technology, comfort features and improved on and off-road ride performance.
